Ukraine is working to eliminate Russia from the IAEA – Mirror

The reason for this is the policy of nuclear terrorism pursued by the Russians, capturing Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

Ukraine is working with its partners to remove Russia from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) or at least to remove Russians from key positions in the organization's secretariat. This was announced by Adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Elena Zerkal.

“The indisputable reason for this is the policy of nuclear terrorism pursued by the Russians, seizing Ukrainian nuclear power plants,” – noted she.

“We are currently working with our partners to remove Russia from the IAEA, or at least to reduce its role there and remove all Russians from the key positions they hold in the Secretariat of the International Atomic Energy Agency,” Zerkal added.

It will be recalled that during the large-scale military invasion of Ukraine, the Russian army took control of two nuclear facilities – the Chernobyl and Zaporozhye nuclear power plants. In particular, the Chernobyl invaders captured on the first day of the invasion, February 24.

Due to Russia's actions at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and ZNPP, the IAEA has set up a round-the-clock crisis center monitoring the situation at the Ukrainian NPP, and the Office of the Prosecutor General opened a number of proceedings under the article “Ecocide”.

The Russian military looted and destroyed the latest Central Analytical Laboratory in Chernobyl worth six million euros.

Also for According to the Ministry of Environment of Ukraine, as a result of hostilities and arson by the troops of the Russian Federation of forests and fallows of the Exclusion Zone there is an increase in the level of radioactive air pollution.

Against this background The IAEA, without any verification, disseminated false information received from Russia about the alleged use of force by Russian nuclear specialists at the Rivne NPP.

The IAEA does not react in any way to Ukraine's reports that there are 11 Rosatom nuclear specialists at the Zaporizhzhya NPP who broke in with the invaders without the consent and invitation of NNEGC Energoatom or the Zaporizhzhya NPP.

The fact that the Russian military captured the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and the Exclusion Zone also remains without a proper reaction from the IAEA .
