The National Commission for Regulation of Economic Competition has significantly simplified the connection to the electricity grid, but not for long

The changes will concern strategically important objects for the period of martial law in Ukraine.

НКРЭКУ существенно упростила присоединение к электросетям, но не надолго

The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NCRECU) has decided to radically simplify the procedure for connecting to the electricity grid a number of facilities that are strategically important for the state during martial law. This is reported on the website of the energy regulator.

The simplified procedure is determined by the resolution “On approval of the Procedure for temporary connection of electrical installations to the distribution system during the period of martial law in Ukraine”, adopted at a meeting of the NERCEC on March 26.

The updated procedure, in particular, provides:

  • implementation of priority, urgent and gratuitous provision of services for temporary connection to the electrical networks of the facilities of these customers;
  • provision of connection services in the shortest possible time and with a minimum package of documents;
  • priority use of existing capacity reserves of the distribution system, including unused capacity of existing customers;
  • providing the opportunity to perform construction and installation work by the customer and with the use of materials and equipment of the customer;
  • implementation of a simplified procedure for temporary connection of electrical installations to electrical networks for the period of martial law in Ukraine;
  • determining the cost of providing connection services solely on the basis of actual costs (excluding connection rates);
  • connection of electrical installations intended exclusively for electricity consumption.

The simplified procedure will apply for the period of martial law in Ukraine.
