There are two options for saving Mariupol – Commander of the Marines

The defenders of Mariupol have been defending the occupied city for almost two months and need immediate help.

Major Serhiy Volynskyi, commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade , suggested possible scenarios for rescuing civilians and soldiers blocked in Mariupol. A post calling on world leaders was posted by the city's defender on his Facebook page.

The second option is a political decision, subject to effective diplomacy. An international team needs to be set up to monitor and control the safe exit of civilians and the combat garrison.
