The US is ready for a dialogue with Russia on arms control

Washington is also trying to expand communication channels with Beijing on this issue.

The USA is still ready for dialogue with the Russian Federation regarding the arms control system. This was stated by US President Joe Biden's special representative for nuclear non-proliferation, Adam Sheinman, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“We are ready to resume dialogue with the Russian Federation in order to determine the future of the modern arms control system,” he said.

Sheinman also added that the US is trying to maintain and expand channels of communication with China on this issue.

Earlier, Biden declared his readiness to start negotiations with Russia on a new agreement instead of the SNO-3 (agreement on the Reduction of Strategic Offensive Arms), which expires in 2026.
