The Armed Forces will receive more long-range artillery, drones and other weapons.
The United States announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 270 million dollars, writes CNN with reference to the spokesman of the US National Security Council John Kirby.
“The White House announced another package of US security assistance to Ukraine . The new $270 million package will include medium-range missile systems and tactical drones,” the report said.
In addition, the package includes:
- Four command and staff vehicles;
- Four HIMARS artillery systems and ammunition for them;
- 36 thousand 105 mm artillery shells;
- Up to 580 Phoenix Ghost tactical unmanned aerial systems;
- 3 thousand units anti-tank weapons;
- Components and spare parts.

On July 20, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin confirmed within the Rammstein-4 formatdelivery of four more HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems to Ukraine. They will be included in the 16th package of military aid to Ukraine. In total, the US and its allies plan to transfer more than 20 such reactive artillery systems to Ukraine.
Thanks to long-range artillery, the Ukrainian military can destroy enemy warehouses with ammunition, command posts of the occupiers and more effectively counter enemy artillery, in which the enemy still has the advantage.
