The United States has imposed new sanctions against Russia in connection with its invasion of Ukraine. The restrictions are aimed at operators in the technology sector to prevent Moscow from evading sanctions, writes Reuters .
Sanctions have been imposed against 21 organizations and 13 people, including Micron, Russia's largest manufacturer and exporter of microelectronics and Russia's largest chipmaker.
The US Treasury Department has also expanded its sanctioning powers to include the aerospace, maritime and electronic sectors of the Russian economy. The move allows Washington to impose sanctions on any individual or entity that decides to work in these sectors.

“We will continue to impose sanctions on Putin's military machine from all sides until this senseless war is over,” Finance Minister Janet Yellen said in a statement.
