Since the invasion of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers have destroyed about 4,500 homes, about 100 businesses, as well as about 400 schools and 150 health facilities. This was announced by the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Alexei Chernyshev at a briefing at the media center “Ukraine”.
According to him, the final calculation of the damage caused by the enemy to the country's infrastructure can be made after the cessation of hostilities and demining.
Chernyshev noted that, according to preliminary estimates, the losses could reach tens of billions of dollars, and this amount is growing daily. The minister added that the government is already working on a plan to rebuild the country.
“We have already simplified the procedures for importing construction products needed to rebuild destroyed infrastructure. In fact, we are making another deregulation in this direction, but in order to start physical work in terms of restoration, we need, first of all, demining of territories, cleaning of objects that have been destroyed, “Chernyshev said.
The official added that after an expert examination it will be determined what needs to be dismantled. According to him, leading Ukrainian and international specialists will be involved in the renewal of Ukrainian cities.
