Ukrainians are asked to avoid clusters in cemeteries.
Radonitsa (Provody, Batkivska Subota ) in Ukraine this year falls on May 3, although different regions of the country have their own traditions. However, Ukrainians often come to honor the memory of their relatives on weekends. Therefore, this year the funerals will be held in different parts of Ukraine starting from April 30.
The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine warns of possible provocations by the occupiers during the funeral days. “Ukrainians are urged to avoid clusters in cemeteries.”
Due to possible provocations by Russian invaders on funeral days and potential rocket attacks, the JRS recommends:
- refrain from mass gatherings in religious buildings and cemeteries;
- in the event of an air raid, go immediately to a bomb shelter or shelter.
