The turbine for the gas pipeline arrived in Germany on July 18.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said today that the turbine for Nord Stream, located in Germany, which Canada agreed to deliver in defiance of anti-Russian sanctions, is ready for operation. He reported this during a personal planned inspection of the turbine.
According to him, there are “no reasons” from the German side, due to which the turbine could not be sent to Russia.
At the same time the head of Siemens Energy claims that there are still not enough documents from Russia to transport the turbine for Nord Stream.
Regarding the certification of Nord Stream 2, which was suspended, Scholz added that Russia has other capacities for supply of gas to Europe.
In addition, Scholz said yesterday that he believes the return of the gas turbine for Nord Stream 1 to Canada is correct, and added that Western sanctions remain in force. He said this in an interview with the Canadian publication The Globe and Mail.

Former German Vice Chancellor , Federal Economy Minister Robert Habeck said the Nord Stream turbine had arrived in Germany on July 18 and had been there since then. and return the turbines to restore the full operation of the Nord Stream to circumvent anti-Russian sanctions. According to him, “to eliminate the pretext that the Russian Federation could use to further refuse the supply of gas to Germany and Europe”.
