Kyiv's most famous long-term building: the court “changed its mind” and sided with the contractor of the Podilsky Bridge

The court recognized its previous decision as unfounded.

Last week, the Kyiv Podil District Court canceled its decision as erroneous regarding the seizure of 100% of the corporate rights of Eco-Bud-Trade LLC (the contractor for the construction of the Podilsky Bridge in Kyiv). This was announced in the decision of July 22, published in the court register.

We remind you that the leader among Kyiv long-term buildings – the Podilsko-Voskresen bridge over the Dnipro River – has been involved in criminal proceedings for embezzlement since March 2021. At the same time, one of the suspects is the director of the Eco-Bud-Trade company, which in 2017 won the tender for the completion of the bridge.

In June 2022, the prosecutor's office appealed to the court to seize the corporate rights of the company he heads, with the intention of confiscating them in case of conviction of the director.

Podilskyi Court granted this request, but after a month and a half canceled its decision.

The arrest was deemed unfounded, because the suspected director did not is neither a founder, nor a participant, nor a final beneficiary of Eco-Bud-Trade. And therefore, it will not be possible to confiscate the company's corporate rights, even if it is found guilty.
