Since the beginning of the Russian invasion crime rate in Kyiv decreased by almost 50%. The criminogenic situation in the city is completely controlled by law enforcement officers. This was stated by Kyiv Police Chief Ivan Vyhivskyi during a nationwide telethon.

“In the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, citizens left Kyiv, and, of course, criminals also left the city, fearing for their lives. Now the situation is under control. And since the invasion, we see a reduction in crime by almost 50%,” said Vyhivsky. He added that the number of thefts and robberies in the city has decreased by almost 60%.
