Pilots are looking for work abroad due to the threat of unemployment in Russia.
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation warned that this could lead to the shortage of flight crew in the near future. RosZMI writes about it.
It is noted that now, according to various estimates, 10-13% of pilots are idle.
It is specified that the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation receives about 70 appeals a month from foreign aviation regulators with a request to confirm the certificate of a specialist. This indicates that pilots are looking for work in foreign airlines.
However, unions and industry communities believe that the labor market is limited to “friendly” countries. primarily the Eurasian Economic Union and Turkey. According to them, the most likely scenario is unemployment, which threatens every second pilot by 2025 if passenger traffic is reduced.
