European Council President Charles Michel announced new sanctions against Russia after the world saw a photo of the racist-liberated Bucha: the bodies of shot dead civilians lie there on the roads.

On April 1, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the release of Russian occupiers of almost 30 settlements in Kyiv and Chernihiv directions , among whom was Bucha.

On the evening of April 2, Mykhailo Podoliak, Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine published photo from the liberated Bucha, where civilians were shot dead in the streets.
The next day, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba also published photos with the atrocities committed Russians with civilians in Bucha, and called on the G7 to impose a number of sanctions on Russia: an embargo on oil, gas and coal; closure of all ports for Russian ships and goods; disconnection of all Russian banks from SWIFT.
