The Cabinet of Ministers announced the start date of the 2022/2023 heating season

Readiness for winter is about 70 percent.

The upcoming heating season will start around October 15, depending on weather conditions. This was announced by the Minister of Community and Territorial Development, Oleksiy Chernyshov, on the air of an information telethon.

“The heating season in Ukraine will begin after October 15, taking into account weather conditions,” he noted. .

According to the minister, Ukraine's readiness for the new heating season is currently approaching 70%.

“We are already reaching an indicator close to 70% of the preparation of utilities networks and systems. Everything is going according to plan where possible, in those communities that were not affected. In those that were affected, works have begun to restore facilities thermal utility, central heat supply,” he said.

According to the data of the Ministry of Infrastructure, as of August 11, as a result of Russia's armed aggression on the territory of Ukraine, 327 objects of critical infrastructure in the field of heat supply were affected, namely:

    < li style="text-align: justify;">316 boiler rooms (304 damaged and 12 destroyed),
  • 10 thermal power plants (6 damaged and 4 destroyed),< /li>
  • 1 TES.

158 heat supply facilities have already been restored (156 boiler houses and 2 CHP plants in Mykolaiv and Sumy), or 48.3% of the total number of affected facilities.

This will ensure price stability in the field of heat supply during the heating season of 2022/23.

On July 13, the Government allocated UAH 1.4 billion for the formation of a reserve of reserve equipment and materials to provide operational assistance to communities during the heating season and directed UAH 286 million from the reserve fund to restore heat supply in Kremenchuk, Okhtyrka and Chernihiv.
