The head of the OVA did not name the new settlements of the Luhansk region freed from the Russian occupiers until the official notification of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to prevent reinforcement shelling and not create obstacles for the defenders' further offensive.
At the same time, he added that the local authorities may soon be allowed to show materials from the de-occupied villages.
“I really hope that next week we will show photo and video materials, with the permission of the General Staff, directly from the de-occupied territories. We are basically preparing to enter these territories, because there are people left there. There are not very many of them, but they are there.” – Gaidai explained.
He emphasized the need to support the residents of the liberated areas from the first days, providing them with humanitarian aid and medicines.
