President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that despite the announcement in Russia about the completion of the so-called partial mobilization, the aggressor state may still resort to attracting additional soldiers for the war against Ukraine in the future. This is evidenced by the current situation at the front, the head of state said in his evening address.

He clarified that on Friday, October 28, he held a series of meetings with the military leadership regarding the events at the front and the active actions of the Armed Forces. new waves of sending Russian citizens to the front. We feel something completely different on the front lines. Although Russia is trying to increase the pressure on our positions by using mobilized people, they are so poorly trained and equipped, are so crudely used by the command that it suggests: Russia may soon need a new wave of sending people to war,” Zelenskyy explained.

The President emphasized that Ukraine is preparing for the possibility of such a development and that the leadership of the Russian Federation will look for any opportunity to continue the war against our country, including the use of help from its Iranian accomplices.

 

According to the head of state, taking this into account, Kyiv continues to work with partners every day with the aim of strengthening air defense and other military capabilities.

In particular, Zelensky noted the work on better protection of Ukrainian critical infrastructure, primarily energy infrastructure.

“As of now, in many cities and districts of our countries apply stabilization shutdown schedules – about 4 million Ukrainians have restrictions now. Kyiv and region, Zhytomyr Oblast, Poltava Oblast, Rivne Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast, Cherkasy Oblast, Kirovohrad Oblast. Emergency shutdowns are also possible in other regions. We are doing everything so that the state has the opportunity to reduce such outages,” concluded the president of Ukraine.
