We will remind, gas station operators are accused of fuel speculation.

There is a war in the country, and we consider such price speculation as looting. The government has authorized regional military administrations to monitor the establishment prices. We will react harshly to such facts in accordance with the requirements of wartime, “said First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko.

The government believes that the price of fuel is around 40 UAH per liter. After all, the VAT was reduced three times and the excise tax on fuel was zeroed. Accordingly, a new procedure for calculating marginal prices came into force. In March, this really led to lower fuel prices .

However, later in the Ukrainian fuel market there was a crisis that limited the supply of fuel in the networks Gas station. In particular, the occupiers destroyed the only oil refinery in Ukraine – the Kremenchug refinery.

After Russia's military invasion of Ukraine our state has lost almost all fuel imports. We are talking about 80% of domestic consumption.

The Cabinet even allowed the abolition of the “ceiling” for premium fuel prices at gas stations . But on one condition – trade in fuel at regulated prices.
