Scholz noted one feature of security guarantees for Ukraine

The question of providing guarantees is under discussion, the chancellor assures.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told in an interview broadcasting company ARD about security guarantees being prepared for Ukraine, pointing out one particularity.

“We are discussing with close allies the issue of security guarantees that we can give. This is an ongoing process . It is clear that it will not be the same if the country was a member of NATO,” said Scholz.

Earlier, the journalist asked Sholtz if he could specify what security guarantees for Ukraine after the end of the war were discussed at the G7 summit.

“Yes. I could. That's all,” replied Sholtz and smiled.
