Il-76 plane transported cash and weapons.

On August 20, a Russian military plane secretly transported to the airport Tehran €140 million in cash and three types of ammunition — a British NLAW anti-tank missile, an American Javelin anti-tank missile and a Stinger anti-aircraft missile — that fell into the hands of the Russian military. This is reported by Sky News with reference to an informed source in the special services.

The weapons samples could give the IRGC the ability to study and potentially copy Western technology.

For its part, Iran has provided Russia with more than 160 unmanned aerial vehicles, including 100 Shahed-136 drones, the source claims.

In addition, according to the publication, in the last few days, another agreement on drones worth €200 million was concluded between Tehran and Moscow.

As evidence of the drone transfer, the source shared with Sky News satellite images showing two Russian military cargo planes at Tehran airport. One of the planes, an Il-76, was believed to be carrying cash and captured Western weapons.

The source also said that intelligence agencies are aware of at least five Russian planes that have transported drones from Iran since August 20 as part of the deal.

According to Bild publication, On November 6, a cargo plane with a new batch of Shahed drones arrived in Russia from Iran.
