Waldemaras Rupschis believes that Russia is capable of new armed aggression in 5-10 years
In an interview with LRT, Rupshis said that Russia's behavior in the international arena in the future will depend on what forces are in power.
“In my opinion, if Russia does not change, it will remain a threat to us and to NATO. The threat could be even greater. Allies must act primarily to deter Russia from acting in Ukraine. Russian revanchism did not go anywhere. They have not lost all the battles yet, but simply because Ukraine has survived – they have already lost the war, “Rupshis said.
The Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces also stressed that the future development scenarios of the Russian Federation will depend on many factors, including the impact of sanctions on its economy.
