Greenpeace activists have blocked a Russian oil tanker in Norway

Members of the environmental organization have expressed radical protest against Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

In Norway, Greenpeace activists tried to block the supply of Russian oil. Protesting against Russia's invasion of Ukraine, they chained themselves to a fuel tanker.

According to Reuters, protesters arrived at the tanker Ust Luga in a small boat and chained themselves to an anchor chain, trying to prevent the unloading of oil at the Exxon Mobil terminal in Slagen, near Oslo.

“Oil is not only causing a climate crisis, but is also the cause of wars and conflicts. I am shocked that Norway is still acting as a free port for Russian oil, which we know is financing Putin's war, “said Norde Green's head of Greenpeace, Frode Play.

A group of activists called on the Norwegian government to ban imports of Russian energy and said that the Norwegian division of Exxon Mobil Esso should terminate any contracts for imports from Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
