The Russian Foreign Ministry said that they had passed the relevant documents to a senior US diplomat.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has stated its readiness to expel a number of American diplomats in response to Washington's decision to send 12 members of Russia's permanent mission to the United Nations in New York.
The Russian agency said that it had handed the senior diplomat of the US embassy in Moscow a list of American diplomats who are planned to be expelled from Russia and declared them non-lattice persons.
“The American side has harshly stated that any hostile US actions against Russia will receive a decisive and adequate response,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It will be recalled that the decision to expel 12 employees of the Russian diplomatic mission together with their families was made on February 28. About 50 people left the country then.
It should be noted that about 40 Russian diplomats are planned to be expelled from Poland on suspicion of espionage.
