Putin is probably preparing to announce mobilization – Sullivan

The Russians lack manpower after the successful actions of the Armed Forces.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is probably preparing for announcement of mobilization on the territory of their state. Jake Sullivan, national security adviser to the leader of the United States of America, Joe Biden, stated this during a briefing, citing US intelligence data.

“We know that President Putin may be preparing for mobilization events. Like his fake annexation plans, this reflects Russia's failures in Ukraine,” Sullivan said.

He suggested that the Russian president, in particular, could introduce partial mobilization to get more Russians to join the war against of Ukraine. “Partly because they just need more personnel and manpower, given Ukraine's successes on the battlefield,” the Biden adviser added.

Commenting on reports about pseudo-referendums in the south and east of Ukraine, Sullivan noted that the aggressor is trying to find manpower to throw into battle, and “these are not the actions of a confident country, these are not strong measures, but quite the opposite.”
