In order to properly leave Poland for those Ukrainians who receive the above assistance, you must first contact the Social Insurance Office and announce your plans there. Otherwise, all the cash benefits received after leaving will have to be returned – and even with interest.
“We have the opportunity to check whether this man has left our country – the Office has access to various state registers. For example, we can use a special register of citizens of Ukraine maintained by the Border Guard Service. Therefore, if a foreigner who receives money from us does not report his departure from Poland, he will have to return the illegally received funds with interest, “said the spokeswoman of the Office.
What is the” 500 + “program?
The Office accrues and pays money under the Family 500+ program to refugees from Ukraine who legally arrived in Poland after February 23, 2022. Before the war in Ukraine, only those Ukrainians who had a residence card with access to the labor market could count on such assistance.
Access to family assistance for refugees is provided in connection with the war waged by Russia. Thus, refugees will be able, among other things, to apply for:
- 500 plus assistance;
- financial assistance for children in crèches for the period of residence or stay with children in Poland./li>
