NATO ships have entered the Baltic Sea for training

The priority is to demonstrate the presence of NATO allies in the Baltic Sea region.

Ships of the 1st Permanent Naval Group NATO (SNMG1) has joined the Baltic Sea , where it will take part in exercises with Allied and Partner countries, according to the Estonian portal ERR.

The group consists of five ships, it is led by the frigate of the Royal Navy De Zeven Provinciën.

On Thursday, April 14, part of the SNMG1 ships entered the Baltic Sea. The rest of the ships will arrive at the port of Tallinn on April 15.

The priority is to demonstrate the presence of NATO allies in the Baltic Sea region and to conduct joint exercises with the Estonian Navy.

The Alliance regularly deploys naval forces in the Baltic Sea to maintain defense capabilities.

Three frigates already stationed at the port came from Norway's northern northern waters. It is reported that the ships will be in the terminal for at least a week, and next week they will be replaced by another group of Allied naval forces.
