The commander of the Marines demands an immediate break through the siege of Mariupol

Serhiy Volyna is convinced that it is still possible to save the city, but the situation is critical.

Commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade Serhiy Volyna calls the authorities to lift the blockade of Mariupol by military or political means as soon as possible. He said this in a comment to Ukrayinska Pravda.

According to Volyn, as of the morning of April 15, defenders of Mariupol are fighting fierce battles, and the enemy is aggressively advancing. The situation is critical. Mariupol can save either an immediate military operation or a political decision, according to the Marine commander. He is convinced that it is still possible to break the blockade of Mariupol.

“It is necessary to do it as soon as possible, to attract experienced commanders and the necessary resources,” said Serhiy Volyna. The defenders of Mariupol do not intend to surrender.

On April 13, the leaders of “Azov” and the 36th OBRMP recorded a joint appeal from Mariupol-besieged Mariupol and confirmed that they had managed to join forces to protect the city.
