In the Italian Alps, at least 6 people died as a result of a glacier collapse

The tragedy was caused by a record high temperature.

On Sunday in the Eastern Alps on the border between the Italian in the provinces of Trento and Belluno, a serac broke off from the mountain top. Local authorities said at least six people died and eight were injured, according to Reuters.
