In Estonia, the withdrawal of signatures under the border agreements with Russia in 2014 was initiated

At today's meeting of the Riigikogu should consider the government's proposal to withdraw the signatures from 2014 under joint agreements with Russia on land and sea border. The agenda includes an agenda registered on the Estonian Parliament's website to date. Sergei Lavrov and note:

Simultaneously with the signing of the last border agreement, Russia has launched an aggressive military campaign “After the end of the occupation and the restoration of independence, the territory of Estonia and the land border de jure are restored on the basis of legal succession as provided for in the Tartu Peace Treaty (1920 – ed. ) “, – the explanatory note reads.

Note, as of today between Estonia and Russia < There is no legal border. After decades of negotiations, in 2005 the parties finally signed a border agreement. But during its ratification, Estonia included in the preamble a reference to the validity of the Tartu Treaty, which was based on the pre-war border.
