Hungary will continue to issue visas to Russians – Szijarto

After the meeting with Lavrov, Sijarto started a pro-Russian album again.

Hungary has no intention of refusing to issue Schengen visas to Russians visas, in particular multiple-use visas. This was stated on Friday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjártó on the sidelines of the high-level week of the UN General Assembly, TASS reports.

“There is a clear methodology for issuing visas to tourists from countries , with which there is no visa facilitation agreement. This is a more complicated and slightly longer procedure than when there is such an agreement. But if it is not there, it does not mean that we do not issue visas. Of course, we will continue to issue visas according to the procedure,” he said.

Scijarto added that it is about Schengen visas, in particular, multiple-entry visas.

“The issue of visas is a question within the framework Schengen agreements. The decision that we should stop issuing Schengen visas to Russians was not made,” said the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry.

At the same time, he added that he respects the representatives of other countries who have declared that they will not issue visas to Russian citizens. .
