Leaders of the G7 warned Russia against using chemical, biological and nuclear weapons and condemned the unwarranted disinformation campaign against Ukraine. This is stated in a statement adopted following the G7 meeting, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.
“We warn against any threat of the use of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons or related materials. We remind you of Russia's obligations under international treaties to which it is a party and which protect us all,” the statement said.
G7 leaders also condemned Russia's disinformation campaign against Ukraine and expressed “concern about other countries and entities that have intensified Russia's disinformation campaign.”
“We are determined to support the Ukrainian people in their heroic resistance to Russia's unjustified and illegal aggression. We will strengthen our support for Ukraine and neighboring countries. We thank all those who are already providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine and ask others to join,” G7 leaders said.
