Energoatom spoke about the situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP

All power units of the ZNPP are disconnected from the grid, preparations for connecting the two units are underway.

As of 9:00 a.m. today (August 26) all power units of Zaporizhzhya NPP are disconnected from the network. This was reported by “Energoatom”.

“The plant's own needs for power supply are provided through a repaired line from the power system of Ukraine,” the message reads. Ukraine has also been restored, work is underway to prepare the connection of two power units of the ZNPP to the grid.

It is also clarified that there are no comments regarding the operation of the equipment and safety systems.

Let us remind you that yesterday Energoatom reported that the Russian occupiers achieved a complete disconnection of the Zaporizhzhia NPP from the power grid. The message read: “Due to a fire at the ash dumps of the Zaporizhzhya TPP, located next to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, the last (fourth) line of communication between the ZNPP and the Ukrainian power system – PL-750 kV ZNPP – “Dniprovska” was disconnected twice.” Three other lines were damaged by enemy fire earlier.
