Low payments will not be taken into account when calculating subsidies to Ukrainians. This is reported by the Ministry of Social Policy.
According to the report, housing assistance for displaced persons and compensation under the “Shelter” program will not be taken into account in the income.
The department proposes not to take into account the average monthly total income of citizens when calculating the housing subsidy, the following payments are made:
- accommodation allowance for internally displaced persons;
- compensation for reimbursement of expenses related to the placement of internally displaced persons in their living space under the program “Shelter”.
The geography of providing subsidies has been slightly expanded.
According to the department, “the procedure for calculating the housing subsidy for the payment of electricity to households that, as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, were left without a centralized supply of thermal energy and/or natural gas supply and use household electrical appliances to heat residential premises, is extended to all territories that are located in the area of hostilities or under temporary occupation.”
Now benefits are also provided for citizens who have lost their jobs.
“It is proposed to revise the criteria for providing housing subsidies to persons who receive partial unemployment benefits, as well as to people who lost their jobs during martial law, providing for the possibility of assigning a subsidy taking into account the actually received income in the amount of unemployment benefits,” the department clarifies.< /p>
