British intelligence has assessed the effectiveness of Russian strikes on the Pecheneg dam

They are unlikely to significantly complicate the work of the Armed Forces.

On September 21 and 22, the Russian military struck Pecheneg Dam on the Siverskyi Donets River. For this, they used short-range ballistic missiles or similar weapons. According to British intelligence, this happened after a strike at the Karachuniv dam near the city of Kryvyi Rih.

“Ukrainian forces are advancing further downstream on both rivers. As Russian commanders become increasingly concerned about their operational failures, they are likely trying to hit the dam locks to flood Ukrainian military checkpoints,” said the intelligence on the Twitter page.

But British experts doubt that the attacks of the Russian invaders caused a significant obstacle for the Defense Forces. First of all, due to the distance between the place where the damage occurred and the point where hostilities are already underway.

It will be recalled that the Russian military attacked the Pecheneg dam for several days in a row. As a result, its upper lock was destroyed on September 21. Due to the critical situation, residents of the Pecheneg community were urged to prepare for a dam breach and possible evacuation. Related video
