At the strategic level, this is Putin's failure – the admiral assessed the “successes” of the Russian army

Putin has not achieved military-strategic goals in Ukraine.

Commander of the British Armed Forces Admiral Sir Tony Radakin said , that Russia's problems in Ukraine are “growing”, but “the likely result is that the war will continue.” He reported this in an interview with the BBC.

He noted that the Russian leader's problems are increasing. Putin will be defeated in all of his strategic and military objectives. He wanted to conquer Ukraine. It will not come to that. He wanted to take Kyiv under his control, he was defeated earlier. He wanted to weaken NATO. Now NATO is much stronger, Finland and Sweden are joining us, the admiral said.

In his opinion, Vladimir Putin “is under pressure, and his problems are growing”.

He assessed that the successes of the Ukrainian army in the framework of the counteroffensive in the northeast of the country are very important, including for the situation at the front and for the fighting spirit of Ukrainians. However, one should be aware that the war will probably last a long time, he emphasized.
