Almost 50% of German residents are dissatisfied with Scholz's work – survey

Every second person in the country believes that Scholz undeservedly occupies the position of chancellor.

, free democrats and “greens” seriously undermined. According to the survey, almost 50 percent of the country's citizens believe that Chancellor Olaf Scholz holds office undeservedly. The survey was conducted by the sociological institute Insa, DW reports.

It is noted that only 38 percent of respondents believe that Scholz is in his place. 64.5 percent of respondents said that they do not trust the country's government very much, and only 30.3 percent of respondents completely trust the government.

Respondents' opinions on German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock were divided: 43.7 percent believe that that she deserves her position, and 44.7 percent have the opposite opinion.

34.9 percent of respondents are satisfied with the work of German Economy Minister Robert Habeck, 49.9 percent of respondents have the opposite opinion.

< p>Also, according to the survey, 33.6 percent of respondents support the work of the Minister of Finance of the country, Christian Lindner. 50.3 percent of respondents do not support him.

The opinions of the respondents regarding the Minister of Health of Germany, Karl Lauterbach, are polarized. 40.9 percent of respondents are satisfied with his work, 47.2 percent are dissatisfied.

The work of German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht received the most criticism. According to the poll, she is supported by 18.1 percent of respondents, 63.1 percent believe that she should not be in this position.

It was previously reported that Scholtz refused to provide Ukraine with Leopard battle tanks or Marder infantry fighting vehicles, which Ukrainian officials had repeatedly requested.

Sholtz's refusal , which goes against the will of many even members of his own ruling coalition, has drawn vociferous and almost unanimous criticism from Germany's Eastern European neighbors, not least in Ukraine. Sholz named the reason why he does not give tanks to Ukraine.
