Ukrainian defenders continue to destroy the enemy in the air.
On Monday, May 2, the Air Defense of Ukraine destroyed 8 enemy drones. This was announced by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat in his next address.
The representative of the Armed Forces noted that for the past 24 hours the enemy aircraft has practically not entered the airspace of Ukraine, but the occupiers are increasingly using UAVs, which our defenders are successfully destroying.
“During the day on May 2, the piloted aircraft of the occupiers did not actually enter the area of Ukrainian air defense. Instead, the enemy continues to launch missile strikes, increasing the presence of unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine's airspace, which target artillery, conduct air reconnaissance and adjust fire. During the day on May 2, the air defense of the Air Force and the Land Forces shot down eight air targets – one UAV “Outpost” and seven “Orlan-10”, – said Ignat.
It is worth noting that the cost of one drone “Outpost” shot down by soldiers of the Armed Forces is about 7 million dollars. “Orlan-10” is much cheaper – from 80 to 120 thousand dollars.
