World Bank prepares $ 1.5 billion aid package for Ukraine

World Bank Governor David Malpass announced a new financial aid package for Ukraine. It will be aimed at providing public services to the population.

< Malpass announced a new assistance package during a performance in Warsaw. He stated that this became possible after the International Development Association's $ 1 billion assistance was approved on Monday, as well as the payment of $ 100 million to neighboring Moldova.
According to the head of the World Bank , this tranche will help Ukraine to provide critical services, including providing payments to doctors, pensioners and social programs.
David Malpass previously stated that The World Bank has provided Ukraine with $ 973 million in aid due to the Russian military invasion.
In addition, The World Bank allocated $ 100 million to pay scholarships to Ukrainian students.
