US Assistant Secretary of State Karen Donfried said that The United States will help Ukraine get through a difficult winter if the Russians continue to attack our critical infrastructure. What's happening today is simply disgusting,” noted Donfried. “That's why we, as and many of your friends, we want to help you make sure that Ukrainians do not sit in the cold and darkness this winter.”
So the assistant of Anthony Blinken noted that one of the elements of the help that the USA will provide us is air defense.
“We are actively engaged in this, as are many of our allies and partners. I know that officials here are thinking about what are the critical nodes in the energy infrastructure around which you would want to place these air defense systems,” Donfried said.
Another link of American aid to us is equipment, which will help in the restoration of critical infrastructure that has already been damaged. It, as Donfrid hinted, can come to us both from the States and from European countries – now Washington is thinking about it.
“So I think there are a lot of different elements that we're working on right now, and we're going to continue to do everything we can to get you through this winter,” Donfried said.
