What goods without obligatory marking in the Ukrainian language during martial law do not mean a counterfeit

The obligation to label non-food products in the Ukrainian language for the period of martial law has been abolished. Such an explanation was provided by the State Food Service.

Business entities that cannot meet the requirements for marking goods in connection with hostilities may temporarily, at the time of martial law, sell such goods without the obligation to provide information about such goods in the Ukrainian language.

The decision was made due to the fact that, despite active hostilities, most companies are trying to continue, at least in part, economic activity. We are also talking about the supply of non-food products to the Ukrainian market, including those included by the state in the list of critical imports . For example, these are baby diapers, hygiene and detergents, mobile phones and communications, heating, medical equipment.

At the same time, when importing goods into Ukraine, in some cases there is no possibility for businesses to label goods in the state language, due to hostilities in areas where there are warehouses with labels and means for re-marking goods.

We will remind, for the period of action of martial law Ukraine since April 1, 2022 also suspends collecting of the VAT and import duties.

Earlier, the Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine distributed a memo on how to recognize Russian goods in trade and not to support the aggressor's army by buying them .
