Ukrenergo “punished” the population of Kyiv and four oblasts by turning off the electricity

Electricity consumption has increased dramatically in several regions.

Ukrenergo warned that in Kyiv and in four regions, namely in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr, fan outages are being started again. This is stated in the press service of the company.

It is noted that the level of electricity consumption has increased sharply, so Ukrenergo is forced to introduce a temporary controlled restriction of electricity consumption.

“We will remind you how Ukrenergo dispatchers decide on a temporary shutdown: if in some region they see that consumption is increasing, and in the near future it is impossible to deliver more electricity there due to the destruction caused by Russia, then in such a region there are temporary restrictions. Accordingly, your frugal energy consumption can help to avoid forced shutdowns, remember this,” the company noted.
