Ukrainians will be left with the opportunity to travel to the EU with a domestic passport

Children do not need a notarized permission from their father.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has extended the possibility of crossing the border for Ukrainians on domestic passports. SBGS spokesman Andriy Demchenko spoke about this in a comment to Ukrayinska Pravda.

“The possibility of crossing the border to leave the country by Ukrainian citizens with a Ukrainian passport has been extended,” Demchenko said.

This decision was made taking into account the situation in Ukraine during martial law, when citizens can not quickly and timely issue a passport.

This applies to all citizens, regardless of the areas from which they come. Departure from Ukraine of children under 16 years of age is carried out with a passport of a citizen of Ukraine or a child's birth certificate.

According to the law, the period of martial law departure of children under 16 years is possible accompanied by one of parents, grandparents, adult brothers, sisters, stepmothers, stepfathers or other persons authorized by one of the parents in a written statement certified by the guardianship authority. However, the notarized consent of the other parent is not required. or when traveling between different countries. Therefore, it is better for Ukrainians to take into account all situations and, if possible, get a passport before crossing the border.

It will be recalled that according to the State Border Guard Service, there are no queues at most checkpoints from Ukraine to neighboring countries.
