Ukraine will be able to produce mRNA vaccines – WHO must provide the appropriate technology

Vaccines against any disease are not currently produced in Ukraine.

World Health Organization (WHO) has officially identified the domestic pharmaceutical company Darnytsia as the only one in Ukraine to receive mRNA-based vaccine technology . This was reported by the company's press service.

At present, Ukraine does not produce vaccines against any disease.

According to the WHO, since April 2022, Ukraine has joined the list of countries that have received support from WHO Global Center for Technology Transfer for mRNA-based vaccines. The winner of the competition was Darnytsia, which will undergo special training on technology transfer on the basis of WHO training centers.

If the technology is transferred and implemented, Ukraine will have vaccines and drugs from COVID-19 of its own production.
