Negotiations have begun on the first stage of the evacuation, during which they plan to rescue the seriously injured.
A new round of Turkish-brokered talks on evacuation has begun people from the Azovstal plant. The Ukrainian side wants to sign a document that will consolidate the future process. This was stated by the Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk, the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration reports.
She said that the evacuation operation will take place in several stages and will begin with the rescue of the seriously injured. Today, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross are meeting with the Russian side to agree on this first stage.
“We have started a new round of talks on the road map of the special operation. Let's start with the seriously wounded. There is the Red Cross, they are meeting with the Russians today. Negotiations were held with them, as well as with the UN, and they were given a mandate. We want a document to be signed: how exactly the evacuation from Azovstal will take place, we are preparing to sign it, “Vereshchuk explained.
