Ukraine received a NASAMS anti-aircraft missile which will significantly strengthen air defense.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with American journalists CBS News.

“We received NASAMS (anti-aircraft missile systems) . These are air defense systems. But, believe me, this is not even close to enough,” Zelensky emphasized.

The President noted that the $820 million US aid package, in addition to air defense systems, includes ammunition for artillery and radars.

He noted that to date, the United States allocates $1.5 billion monthly to support Ukraine's budget for waging this war. However, Ukraine needs more air defense systems to protect Ukrainians. If Ukrainians return home, start paying taxes, the economy will work, it will be cheaper for everyone.

“We are very grateful for HIMARS and other MLRS, which give us the opportunity to conduct an offensive. Our army seizes the initiative, cuts down the technical capabilities of Russia. Second, artillery. Artillery helps us save the lives of our soldiers, our fighters, they need the ability to receive tanks from USA and also from Europe. Our task is to defend our territory. We don't need a foreign country, we don't need a foreign nation. We want to protect our land and save our people. That's why tanks are very important as an example for the whole world. Air defense systems number three. We absolutely need the US to show leadership and hand over air defense systems to Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said in an interview.
