Ukraine has signed a $ 400 million loan agreement with Canada

Credit funds will be used to finance priority government expenditures.

Ukraine signed a loan agreement with the Government of Canada to provide Ukraine 500 million Canadian dollars (about 400 million US dollars at current exchange rates). The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko wrote about the loan agreement with the Government of Canada on Facebook.

“As of now, this is the largest bilateral intergovernmental loan for Ukraine.

Marchenko clarified that the loan funds will be used to finance the priority expenditures of the state, and thanked the Government of Canada and personally the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Canada Christy Freeland for the decision.
