The Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of Bill 187189, which criminalizes the illegal dissemination of information about the movement of Ukrainian military or international military assistance to Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the “Servant of the People” party Elena Shulyak in the Telegram and the People's Deputy of the “Voice” faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak in the Telegram.
The bill, which supplements the Criminal Code of Ukraine with a new article 114-2, was supported by 346 people's deputies.
According to the document, dissemination of information on the direction and transfer of international military assistance to Ukraine, which was not deployed by the General Staff of the APU or without the written permission of the General Staff of the APU for its deployment in martial law or state of emergency – is punishable by 3 to 5 years.
Publication of information on the movement, movement or location of the APU or other military formations of Ukraine, which was not placed by the General Staff of the APU or without the written permission of the General Staff of the APU for its placement in martial law or state of emergency – is punishable by 5 to 8 years .
The acts referred to in the preceding two paragraphs, committed with the prior conspiracy of a group of persons, or for selfish motives, or to provide information to the aggressor State or illegal armed groups, or if these actions have serious consequences, – shall be punishable by 8 to 12 years.
In addition, deputies passed Bill №7186 on improving the responsibility for collaborationist activities. 350 people's deputies voted in favor.
In particular, the document supplements the Criminal Code with Article 111-2 “Assistance to the aggressor state”.
Now intentional actions (except those committed by citizens of the aggressor state) aimed at helping the aggressor state, its armed forces or the occupation administration to harm Ukraine will be punishable by 10 to 12 years in prison.
Collaborators will also be deprived of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of 10 to 15 years.
Assistance to the aggressor is recognized in the article as the implementation or support of the decisions or actions of the aggressor state, its armed groups or the occupation administration; any cooperation, including the collection, preparation and transfer of material resources or other assets to the representatives of the aggressor; and other interaction with representatives of the aggressor state and illegal authorities in the temporarily occupied territory.
Today, the Verkhovna Rada also abolished VNO and GIA for 2022 graduates .
