Ukraine has approved the procedure for the use of weapons by civilians

The new rules will apply during martial law.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has established the procedure for use by civilians < strong> firearms for the period of martial law . This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada.

Thus, firearms and ammunition may be issued to civilians who wish to take part in repelling armed aggression and meet the established requirements.

Decisions on the issuance of weapons and ammunition are made by the heads of authorized bodies in the administrative -territorial units of territories in which martial law has been declared, or persons authorized by such heads of bodies.

Issued firearms and unused ammunition are subject to return by a civilian until the termination or termination of martial law in Ukraine to the National Police of Ukraine or confiscated by them in case of self-exclusion from repulse of armed aggression.
