“Unfortunately, today there was a tragic situation near Kharkiv. Three rescuers were killed during demining, it happened just a few hours ago. Four were seriously injured,” Monastyrsky said.

According to the Interior Minister, all forces are currently involved in demining. Every day, SES officers seize more than 5,000 explosive devices, which is a very high figure.

Given this, Ukraine has asked Europe, the United States and Canada to involve teams of their pyrotechnicians in demining.
