President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic addressed the nation amid rising tensions with Kosovo. In his speech, Vučić called on the Albanians for peace, but warned that in the event of an escalation of the conflict, “Serbia will not capitulate.” – at what cost, I ask the Albanians to come to their senses and I ask the Serbs not to succumb to provocation (…) We will all pray for peace and seek peace. There will be no capitulation, if they dare to start persecuting Serbs, killing Serbs, Serbia will win,” he said.
The Serbian leader also addressed the countries that support the independence of Kosovo.
“I ask the representatives of powerful countries to pay a little attention to international law and the situation on the ground, so that their wards do not provoke conflicts. This is my big request,” Vucic added.
