In developed countries are ready for the surge of migrants.
Today, most Ukrainian refugees are accepted by countries that have already for many years they had programs to attract labor resources. And for such countries, such an influx of people does not carry risks. This was stated in an interview with Yulia Samaeva , editor of the economics department ZN.UA, by Andriy Haidutsky, one one of the most authoritative experts in the field of migration policy – “How to bring people back to Ukraine”.
According to him, it is not risky for the host countries, in particular for Germany and Poland. Due to the fact that they have significant experience of large-scale influx of migrants in a short period of time, their economies are already “able” to quickly receive and absorb foreigners.
The expert believes that the main thing here is the readiness of the relevant services (border, migration, social) to make a quick and, as marketers say, customer-oriented allocation of migrants. And then the population and business will “distribute” all migrants among themselves.
“This is exactly the case when the” invisible hand “of the market will do everything through employment centers, corporate recruitment channels, or simply through acquaintances. After all, the labor shortage is growing every year. According to the Minister of Economy of Germany Robert Habeck, only in 2022 the country's need for workers is 300 thousand, and by 2030 – 5 million people. (cumulative total). In Poland, the situation is similar – according to PwC, by 2025 the additional need for labor will be 1.5 million people. Of course, governments of different countries compete for migrants. For Poland, the number one competitor for Ukrainian migrants is Germany, so the Polish government continues to liberalize the employment conditions of Ukrainians. In Poland, from January 2022, documents proving the existence of a place of residence and a source of income are no longer required to obtain a permanent residence permit, ”he said. not lower than the minimum wage (about 660 euros/month). Also, foreigners can already work in Poland without a work permit, but only on the basis of an employer's statement of intent to entrust the performance of work or services to a foreigner. Poland has even liberalized the conditions of employment of foreigners in strategic enterprises of the country.
